The purpose of today's fillings and/or reconstructions is to sanitize the cavities and at the same time restore the teeth's original shape and aspect. The photo to the left shows deep abrasions of the collar on two teeth (fifth class cavities). In one surgery session the cavities are sanitized and restored. On the right, the finished job's image.
